MIAMI — Almost three months after Perez Hilton’s disturbing livestream in which he appeared to engage in acts of self-harm, TMZ got a hold of the 911 call.

In the newly released recording from the evening of Aug. 4, you hear the blogger’s sister Barbara Lavandeira telling a dispatcher that her famous brother is having a “meltdown” inside his Miami-area home.

When asked if Hilton has a weapon, Lavandeira says she thinks he may have a “boxcutter or knife.” The 42- year-old woman adds that although she doesn’t think Hilton will “hurt” her, she is safely inside her car outside, along with her daughter and his three kids.

According to an incident report obtained by the Miami Herald, officers from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office and emergency crews responded to the Westchester house shortly after the call, at around 9 p.m.

“The reporting person informed me that [Hilton] was ‘unusually quiet’ today and had locked the door to his bedroom which was not usual for him,” read the report. “The reporting person decided to check up on him and unlocked the bedroom door when she saw the bathroom door was also locked. [She] then stated that she asked [Hilton] through the bathroom door if he was all right and he stated that ‘yes, he is OK.’”

But as anyone who watched the TikTok Live knows, Hilton was not OK, and deep in the throes of some sort of mental health crisis.

As per the incident report, the 48-year-old gossip journalist was transported via ambulance to a nearby Kendall hospital. His family later told fans on his eponymous website, the “TMI” author remained there for weeks recovering from physical injuries, including broken bones from a “fall.” Hilton was eventually moved to a nearby in-patient psychiatric facility. While a release date is uncertain, he is apparently making enough progress he could receive ”short, supervised visits” from his kids.

“Seeing his children in person has meant an enormous amount to Perez,” an update in late September said. “There have definitely been a lot of emotions for everyone, but being able to spend that time together has been incredibly meaningful and healing.”

The statement added that Hilton is “continuing to work with his care team on understanding what led to his mental health crisis, recognizing warning signs, learning better ways to cope, and working through everything that brought him to this point.”
