NEW YORK — Savannah Guthrie simply wants a “proper goodbye” for her mother, Nancy, who was reported missing from her Arizona home on Feb. 1.

The NBC “Today” anchor made that claim after actor Emmy winner Allison Janney said backstage at Monday night’s award presentation that she thinks about Savannah and her family’s pain every day.

“I was so touched to see her do that,” Guthrie said during her Tuesday morning broadcast. “It was her moment … her triumph … and for her to sit and just take a moment and think about our family …”

Janney gave that interview after scoring a best supporting actress award for her work on “The Diplomat.”

There have been few clues as to what happened to 84-year-old Nancy since a doorbell camera captured images of a masked man with a gun standing outside her Tucson home shortly after she was last seen alive.

Guthrie and her her siblings have made several videos begging for clues about their matriarch’s disappearance including one message offering a $1 million reward for clues leading to her recovery.

“I never let a moment pass if I get one to talk about my mom and how much we miss her and love her,” Guthrie said Tuesday. “And my whole family, my sister and my brother and I, and all of our extended families, are in such pain.”

She again asked for for the public to come forward with any information to explain what might have happened to her mother.

“We just want our mom home, give her a proper goodbye, that’s all,” Guthrie said.

The FBI issued a press release immediately after Nancy’s disappearance describing her as “a vulnerable adult who has difficulty walking, has a pacemaker, and needs daily medication for a heart condition.”
